No-Cook Blender Pizza Sauce

No-Cook Blender Pizza Sauce

Have you been disappointed when shopping for pizza sauce at the grocery store? So many have added sugar or unhealthy oils and many just don't have much flavor.

This pizza sauce is a game changer! It takes just minutes to prepare and has no added sugar. Fresh basil, garlic, onion and tomatoes are all quickly blended, making this ready in just a few minutes. Since it uses fresh tomatoes, use the best tasting tomatoes available.

I haven't tried it but I bet it would make a great pasta sauce too (cooked with a bit of red wine added to thin it a little) or just tossed with hot pasta for a raw spaghetti sauce.

No Cook Blender Pizza Sauce 3.39 net carbs in 1/4 cup. 1 lb. fresh tomatoes, cut into large chunks 1/4 cup tomato paste 1/4 medium onion, cut into chunks 2 garlic cloves, peeled 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil 1-1/4 tsp. dried oregano, or to taste 3/4 tsp. unrefined sea salt 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp. fennel seeds 1/4 cup packed fresh basil leaves 1. Put all ingredients except fresh basil in a blender; blend until fairly smooth. Add basil, pulse to desired texture.

Note, if a chunky pasta sauce is desired, blend 3/4 of the tomatoes with all ingredients except basil. Add remaining 1/4 tomatoes with basil, pulsing until desired consistency. Adjust seasonings. Use as you would purchased pizza sauce. Store in a covered glass container in refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze.
